RokBridge [by Darkick] — this identification I used for my modification of the RokBridge component from RocketTheme. As you can know “RokBridge is a non-invasive, bi-directional bridge for Joomla and the forum platform phpBB3. By following a few simple sets, you can easily integrate the two platforms, providing registration, user syncing and syncing of login sessions”. Unfortunately last version of the RokBridge (1.0rc12) was released in September 2009 and there is no new one. I made this “fork” to realize several extra options (and fix some bugs).

Features

• Option to create a new user in the phpBB3 forum along with the Joomla! By default it’ll create during first login.
• Option to deactivate just created user in the forum side (works only with Create User immediately option enabled). This option is EXPERIMENTAL!
• Ability to specify User group ID (for the forum side) for created user (works only with Create User immediately option enabled).
• Option to set for just created user Newly Registered Users group (works only with Create User immediately option enabled).
• Option to select User delete mode: retain or remove posts and topics of the deleted user.
• Option to save posts’ username of the deleted user or replace it with GUEST username.

You can install this component over existing one with Joomla installer.

ATTENTION!!!

There is a very critical security bug in the RokBridge 1.0rc12. If you use the bridge and allow your users to register via Joomla side — your site affected by this vulnerability. My modification don’t have this bug, so you can use it.
