phpBB profile link

Postby Petesim » Tue Apr 20, 2010 2:39 pm

I've installed dwhosonline_1.7.0 and it's working fine - thanks. My only question is: can I link the user name that is displayed to the user's profile in phpBB3? In the module parameters window there are two parameters: "profile link format" and "profile link target". I understand that I can put "_blank" in "profile link target" to open the link in a new window, but what do I put in "profile link format" to give profile info from my phpBB3 forum?

Unfortunately there is no easy solutions. phpBB3 profile link needs forum user ID to know. But we have only Joomla! user ID. These two IDs not equal.
Is your forum integrated into Joomla! RokBridge or JFusion (or any other bridge)? Forum and Joomla! installed into same database?
In some cases it's possible to try to use DAvatar plugin for more functionality (I think).

My phpBB forum is integrated into Joomla using the Mehdi bridge. Joomla!, phpBB3 and the bridge are all installed in the same database.

I didn't used Mdehi bridge, so I don't know about id features. Try to look for tables jos_users and phpbb_users for usernames and it IDs. Maybe IDs will equals (but chance not hight).

Unfortunately now there is no simple way to do so. I am planning this for next versions.
