Wrapper Support

Postby zoannon » Sat Oct 31, 2009 5:48 am

Hi there

The module seems great - I have it on my dev site at present. One wish though, how can I get the latest posts url's to open inside the site's wrapper. At present when clicking on these links it opens full screen and thus loses continuity with the site.

Thanks

Glenn

Standard Joomla Wrapper (iframe). This frame has name 'iframe'.
The module has parameters under Forum URLs settings: Forum link target and Profile link target. Set it value to the frame name - iframe and links will open in the wrapper.
This option generates target attribute for <a> tag:
Code: Select all
<a href="..." target="iframe">Link</a>

Hello

I tried putting iframe into the box as suggested but not getting the required results. It opens in new tab full screen. I have played with the other settings, but can't seem to get it to work. I can get the forum as a whole to open in the wrapper from clicking on the module link - but it doesn't open to the post that was clicked, just the front page of the forum.

I have included a snapshot of my config screen if you want to have a peek. I have a feeling that the problem maybe in the url?

Thanks for your help.

It will work only if the module on the page with wrapper. Otherwise there is no wrapper with name 'iframe' on the page, so browser will open new tab or window.
I don't know easy way to realize your solution. The best is do not use wrapper :). Or try to read this topic Passing a URL to the wrapper

but it doesn't open to the post that was clicked, just the front page of the forum.

Delete part 'index.php' from Forum URL. Set Forum URL to only 'http://www.aussietechheads.com.au/migrate/forum/'.
